Abstract
A survey about interurban cognitive distances shows their dependence on age and gender, and their independence of mobility, education, and socio-economic status; short distances are overestimated. The uncertainty associated with the results might be attributable to insufficient control and lack of appropriate indices. Experimentation is recommen ded.
