La «désertification» en question

Abstract
The « desertification » of the French rural areas is a much debated subject for it relies on a vague concept. After analysing the content of debates and precising what we mean by desertification, this contribution puts forward the results of a general analysis carried out on three scales and concludes that « desertification »Idevitalisation is really going on in a significant part of the territory.
