Analyse des tendances de données hydrochimiques du bassin de la Dyle en amont d'Archennes
Abstract
Hydrochemical data from 92 springs in the Dyle basin were studied with the help of statistical methods: histogram, correlation coefficients and trend surface.
The predominance of calcium and bicarbonate in the spring matter reflects the mineralogical composition of the aquifer: Tertiary calcareous sandstone and Cretaceous rocks. The geological interpretation of the results can also explain the strontium and chloride contents in the waters.
The nitrate concentration cannot be interpreted by the geochemistry of the aquifer. Its origin is probably due to the use of fertilizers in the studies area.
