Abstract

ABSTRACT. Jos Bouckaert (1930-1999) Life and Works. The professional life of Jos Bouckaert, former director of the Geological Survey of Belgium and professor at the University of Louvain (KU Leuven), is described in his native tongue Dutch, with special attention to the major events in his career and the influence exerted by his character and family background and his numerous friends. The biography is completed by an overview of professional activities, scientific nominations and bibliography.
