Abstract

The objective of this article consists in analysing from a conceptual and empirical point of view the conditions of territoriality beyond the State within the European Union. Following a theoretical approach concerning spatial management based on a territorial model, the complexity of the EU spatial organisation is detailed. Two scalar dynamics are taken into consideration: the changes of spatial control at the global scale of Europe and within an eurorégion known as the “Grande Région”.
