Conodontes des formations de Rouillon, de Claminforge et de Nèvremont — Mésodévonien du bord nord du Synclinorium de Dinant
Résumé
Les auteurs distinguent dans le Couvinien et le Givetien inférieur du bord nord du Synclinorium de Dinant trois formations formelles qui sont de bas en haut celle de Rouillon, celle de Claminforge et celle de Nèvremont. Une quatrième Formation « A » est seulement reconnue à l'extrémité occidentale du bord nord du Synclinorium de Dinant. Les trois premières formations sont représentées au bord sud du Synclinorium de Namur. Les Conodontes permettent d'établir des corrélations entre ces formations et les stratotypes mésodévoniens du bord sud du Synclinorium de Dinant. La plus grande partie de la Formation de Rouillon appartient au Couvinien Supérieur. La base de la Formation de Nèvremont est proche de la base du Givetien, elle est diachronique et devient plus jeune d'ouest en est et du sud au nord. Les isopiques couviniennes et givetiennes ne sont pas parallèles à la direction générale du bord nord du Synclinorium de Dinant.
Abstract
The authors recognize three formal formations in the Couvinian and the lower Givetian of the northern flank of the Dinant Synclinorium. They are from older to younger: Rouillon, Claminforge and Nèvremont Formations. A fourth Formation « A » is only recognized in the western part of the northern flank of the Dinant Synclinorium. The first three formations occur also on the southern flank of the Namur Synclinorium. Conodonts provide evidence for correlation between these formations and the middle Devonian stratotypes of the southern flank of the Dinant Synclinorium. The greater part of the Rouillon Formation belongs to the Upper Couvinian. The base of the Nèvremont Formation is close to the base of the Givetian, it is diachronic and it becomes younger from the west to the east and from the south to the north. Couvinian and Givetian isopical lines are not parallel to the general direction of the northern flank of the Dinant Synclinorium.
