Résumé
En site carbonaté, les indices karstiques peuvent avoir des répercussions financières importantes sur le coût des fondations d'ouvrages par le biais des travaux de recherche, des délais de chantier et des adaptations spécifiques.
Ces difficultés sont particulièrement aiguës lorsqu'elles ne sont pas envisagées préalablement, surtout dans le cas des petits ouvrages qui disposent souvent de budgets d'études modestes.
La question est abordée à propos de l'aménagement en cours du Parc International d'Activités de Valbonne -Sophia-Antipolis, engagé depuis dix ans dans la région niçoise (06 - France) et confronté régulièrement à ce type de problème.
La présentation des conditions naturelles du site et l'examen de quatre exemples-types de chantiers permettent de souligner les principales contraintes liées à la reconnaissance et au traitement des indices karstiques dans le cadre des travaux.
Abstract
Karst Phenomena and Foundations on Carbonate Terrain.
For building sites located on carbonate terrain, karst phenomena can have important financial effects on the cost of structure foundations due to the research operations, the construction delay and the necessary specific adjustments.
These problems are particularly acute when they are not considered in advance, especially in the case of small structures which often have small budgets.
This question is dealt with in connection with the development of the International Activity Park of Valbonne -Sophia-Antipolis, which has been taking place for ten years in the Nice area (06 - France) and which is regularly confronted with this kind of problem.
The presentation of the natural conditions of the site, and the study of four typical examples of building locations, show the major obligations related to the prospection and the treatment of karst phenomena for foundation works.
